Why does my Hospital need a revenue system?
The full picture for Clinic and Hospital owners who want to think it through before they talk to anyone. The real problem, the cost of delay, what changes, what you can take, who this is for, and straight answers.
More marketing will not fix revenue leaking from your Hospital.
Doctor of Laxmi builds the full business system around your clinical core, so marketing, conversion, pricing, follow-up, technology, and team all pull in one direction.
Pick the one that makes you nod.
- The ads have been running for months and the OPD numbers look the same as before.
- Your Business Development executive is out all day, and at the end of the week there is no sheet saying which Doctors were met and what came of it.
- The phone rings out over lunch and it does not get counted.
- The Patient says yes in the Counselling cabin, and gets the procedure done somewhere else.
- You have an HMS, a CRM and a WhatsApp tool. To know how many enquiries became Surgeries last month, somebody still opens all three and makes an Excel by hand.
- Someone has offered to invest in the Hospital, or to buy it, and you are not sure how to work out what your Hospital is actually worth.
Whichever one you nodded at, that is where we would start. What you actually want is simpler: a Monday you can predict, a team that does not need you standing behind it, and a Hospital that holds its numbers when you are not in the building.
Every month this stays unfixed, revenue keeps leaking silently.
The Hospital keeps paying for Doctors, staff, infrastructure, marketing, rent, equipment, and reputation, while part of the revenue disappears through weak conversion, poor follow-up, unnecessary discounts, and Owner dependency.
Lost Patients
Patients who were interested and did not convert.
Lost margin
Revenue lost through premature discounting and weak pricing confidence.
Lost control
The Owner remains involved in every commercial decision.
Same Hospital. Stronger revenue system.
- Counsellors depend on personality.
- Front Desk activity is busy but not measurable.
- Follow-up happens when someone remembers.
- Discounts are given to close quickly.
- The Owner is pulled into every decision, with no commercial operating rhythm.
- Revenue depends on people, not systems.
- Every enquiry and Patient opportunity has ownership.
- Counselling follows a structured value conversation.
- Follow-up becomes disciplined.
- Pricing becomes more confident.
- The Owner sees the right numbers early.
- Growth becomes more system-led and owner-independent.
Doctor of Laxmi builds the business systems every successful Hospital needs, so growth does not depend only on the Owner, Senior Doctors, Counsellors, discounts, or chance follow-up.
Where this practice starts from
Doctor of Laxmi works from a single position: revenue is a system a Hospital owner controls, not a result they wait for. Revenue rarely disappears in one visible place. It goes quietly, through enquiries nobody answered, appointments that were made and never arrived, Counselling conversations nobody counts properly, and procedures that were advised and never followed up. Adding marketing spend on top of that only adds leakage.
What this practice actually is
Doctor of Laxmi is a Clinic and Hospital business advisory practice in Bengaluru, led by Mehirr Nath Choppra. It works on the commercial side of a Hospital, never the clinical side.
The services underneath build what the Advisory decided. The MasterClass and the Mentorship are for you rather than for the Hospital.
- Who it is for
- Doctor-owned and Doctor-led Clinics and Hospitals in India doing ₹5 Cr to ₹50 Cr. Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities.
- How you can work with me
- The Advisory, and the services underneath it: team training, your marketing run for you, your technology connected. Then, for you personally: the MasterClass, and six months of mentorship.
- Where the work sits
- Enquiries, the Front Desk, the phone, the Counselling cabin, follow-up and pricing.
- What it never touches
- Clinical decisions. Those stay entirely with you.
- Who does it
- Mehirr, in the room. Former Chief Business Officer at one of South India's leading Eye Hospitals.
- How it is delivered
- Mehirr leads the diagnosis, the strategy and every review. Specialist execution resources are deployed where the scope needs them. Accountability stays with Doctor of Laxmi.
What this is, and who it is for
What Doctor of Laxmi is
Doctor of Laxmi is a Clinic and Hospital business advisory that helps Doctor-owned Clinics and Hospitals in India stop losing revenue between the first Patient enquiry and the operating theatre. The practice works with Clinics and Hospitals typically doing ₹5 Cr to ₹50 Cr a year. The work opens with questions rather than a verdict: what has to change this year, who owns each piece, how each one gets measured, and what the owner no longer needs to carry personally. The answers stay with the owner. We bring the questions, the numbers and thirty years of revenue work across four industries. The services then build what was agreed: training for the teams that make and lose revenue, the marketing function run end to end, and your HMS, CRM, WhatsApp and website joined into one system with a single Dashboard. Clinical decisions stay entirely with the Doctor. Doctor of Laxmi is led by Mehirr Nath Choppra, former Chief Business Officer at a top Eye Hospital in Bangalore.
Who it is for, and who runs it
Doctor of Laxmi is built for Doctor-owned and Doctor-led Clinics and Hospitals in India, usually between ₹5 Cr and ₹50 Cr of annual revenue, in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities. Common Specialities are ophthalmology, orthopaedics, IVF and fertility, dental, dermatology, cardiac, ENT, paediatrics and multispeciality. Corporate chains are not the client. The practice is led by Mehirr Nath Choppra, who has spent thirty years across defence, real estate, media and healthcare, and who served as Chief Business Officer at a top Eye Hospital in Bangalore and raised over ₹12 Cr for a Non-Profit Eye Hospital, funding free cataract surgery for people who could not pay. He co-produced one of India's largest Ophthalmology CMEs, a three day meeting attended by more than 1,200 eye surgeons from 25 countries. Doctor of Laxmi is based in Bengaluru, Karnataka, and works with Hospitals across India.
Where the revenue actually goes
Doctor of Laxmi works on the part of a Hospital that sits between the advertisement and the operating theatre. In most Doctor-owned Hospitals the revenue does not leak in the clinic. It leaks at the enquiry that never gets logged, the phone that rings out at lunch, the Patient who says yes in the Counselling cabin and does not return for billing, and the advised procedure that never gets a follow-up call. Fixing conversion and follow-up often creates more value than raising the marketing budget. At a top Eye Hospital in Bangalore, where Mehirr Nath Choppra served as Chief Business Officer, revenue went from ₹74 Cr to ₹108 Cr in three years and OPD went from 450 to 900 Patients a day. That work was done at the Front Desk, on the phone, in the Counselling cabin and across the Referral network.

Business Mentorship
Each service stands on its own. Where an owner wants more than one, it is scoped together.
Is this the right fit?
This is for you if
- You are a Doctor-founder or Hospital owner.
- Your Hospital has trust, but growth feels inconsistent.
- You want better conversion without aggressive sales.
- You want to protect pricing power.
- You want your team to become more commercially disciplined.
- You want a revenue system, not random marketing ideas.
This is not for you if
- You want shortcuts without Owner involvement.
- You want only digital marketing or lead generation.
- You are not willing to review numbers.
- You believe discounting is the only way to grow.
- You want free advice but not implementation support.
- You are not ready to bring discipline into the business side of the Hospital.
Straight answers
Are you a digital marketing agency?
No. Doctor of Laxmi is not a digital marketing agency. Marketing is one part of it. Where your Hospital needs an agency, I help select the right one and set the numbers it is measured against, so the marketing money is judged on Patients rather than impressions. I do not own an agency, so I am not selling you my own inventory. Where a supplier is needed, I tell you why, and the contract sits between you and them. The rest of the work covers what happens after the enquiry comes in: conversion, counselling, follow-up, pricing, team accountability, dashboards, and execution rhythm.
What happens after the Revenue Diagnosis?
After the Revenue Diagnosis, we identify the priority areas that need fixing. Some Hospitals need advisory support. Some need a specific project such as Counsellor training, Front Desk improvement, follow-up discipline, Business Development review, marketing conversion alignment, SOP creation, KPI dashboards, or scripting. The next step depends on where the leakage is highest.
What do the services actually cover?
The Advisory decides what your Hospital fixes this year and directs the rest. Hospital Team Training for the teams that make and lose revenue. Running Your Marketing, where the whole marketing function is taken over and measured on Patient arrivals, OPD numbers and surgical conversion. Hospital Technology Integration, so your HMS, CRM and WhatsApp tool stop working against each other. And a six month Business Mentorship for the owner. Each one stands on its own.
What is included in the Advisory?
The Mentorship runs six months, Owner to Owner, renewable by six. It works from your Hospital's own numbers and covers the commercial side of the Patient pathway and the fundraising and valuation questions an owner eventually faces. Connecting the systems themselves is Hospital Technology Integration, a separate service. See what is included, stage by stage →
What does Hospital Team Training cover?
Two sessions of three hours with the team that is costing you the most, at your Hospital or online, worked on your own cases rather than slides, followed by three reviews of ninety minutes each to check what held. Business Development, Marketing, Counselling, Front Desk and the phone, each trained separately. Full details here →
Do you work only with Eye Hospitals?
No. The strongest operator experience comes from Eye Hospitals, especially high-volume OPD, cataract, refractive, retina, diagnostics, counselling, and procedure-led revenue. But the revenue system principles apply to Doctor-owned Hospitals, Clinics, Speciality centres, diagnostic businesses, and selected healthcare Owners.
Will you interfere with clinical decisions?
No. Clinical decisions, diagnosis, treatment, surgical protocols, and medical judgment remain fully with the Doctor and clinical team. Doctor of Laxmi works only on the business and revenue system around the clinical core.
Who is this not for?
This is not for Hospitals looking only for social media posts, ad campaigns, website design, or generic branding. It is also not for Hospitals that want quick fixes without fixing internal systems. Doctor of Laxmi is for owners who are ready to look honestly at revenue leakage, team execution, Patient conversion, pricing discipline, and Owner dependency.
How quickly can results be seen?
Some changes can be seen quickly, especially in follow-up discipline, counselling behaviour, enquiry handling, and pricing control. Larger revenue system improvements usually need consistent execution over weeks and months. The goal is not a temporary spike. The goal is predictable growth through stronger systems.
Why should a Hospital owner work with Doctor of Laxmi?
Because the work is operator-led, not theory-led. It comes from real experience inside Hospital growth, revenue reviews, team execution, OPD flow, counselling, fundraising, brand-building, and business system creation. The focus is not just advice. The focus is clarity, priority, and execution.
